I come from France, have lived in Germany for many years and have taught French as a foreign language for twenty years. So I know fairly precisely where German speakers get stuck. And how to get out again.
My path
My name is Catherine and I come from France. After studying literature in Strasbourg I crossed the Rhine to Konstanz. To consolidate my craft I took a master's degree in education in Switzerland. Today I live in Berlin and work there as a teacher.
Twenty years of teaching French as a foreign language have given me many ideas. With Inspiring French I finally put them into practice the way I always wanted: with a method I developed and tested myself, and with three passions I share with you.
Three passions
French. I give you the tools to understand the French and to speak like them. Not school French, but the language spoken in the café, at the office and around the kitchen table.
Books. I have written a series of booklets on authors and works. If you like, we discuss them in class and go deeper, with listening exercises to match.
Brittany. I know the region well and help you discover exceptional places. Cycling, hiking, culture, history, food or simply rest: with my tips your stay becomes what you imagine.
